Microsoft made changes to outlook that causes Microsoft Edge browser to launch when you click a link in an email. To remediate this behavior perform the following:
1. In outlook, Click File > Options
2. Select "Advanced"
3. Locate "Link handling" or "File and Browser Preference"
5. Click ok.
